Five of a picnic party killed in Roing mishap

Dibrugarh, Jan 3: Five members of a picnic party were killed and three others injured in a major road mishap at Tewari Basti in Roing of Aruchal Pradesh.

The picnic party, hailing from Moran, was returning home when the mishap took place.

The deceased have been identified as Arpita Phukan, Biman Phukan, Manjurima Phukan, Rajib Bharali, one of his twin daughters and a businessman of Moran, Sasanka Saikia.

Ankita Phukan - the sister of deceased Arpita Phukan, Rajib Bharali's second daughter and the driver of the Innova car sustained injuries.

According to sources, the car was driven by Rajiv Bharali instead of the driver.

The deceased Arpita Phukan and critically injured Ankita phukan were students of Swami Vivekanda Kendriya Vidyalaya, Moran.
