GUWAHATI, July 30: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal has directed Chief Secretary VK Pipersenia to constitute Embankment Protection Committee to avert breaches in any embankment.

At a high level meeting at his office conference room here, Chief Minister Sonowal said the committee will be constituted comprising engineers, experts, youth organisations, NGOs, clubs and socio-cultural organizations, so as to help avert breaches in embankments with timely intervention.
