Guwahati, July 7: Assam Rifles neutralized four NSCN (R) cadres at Kheti near Khonsa of Aruchal Pradesh on Thursday morning. The operation was launched after an intelligence input about a NSCN(R) temporary camp in the vicinity of Kheti village. Three columns of Assam Rifles were launched and the general area was cordoned off. As one of the columns closed in towards the camp, they came under heavy automatic fire. The troops retaliated and in the ensuing gun fight, two hardcore cadres - 'captain' Jano Tekwa and 'sergeant major' Lombho Pangsa were neutralised and one AK47 rifle and a pistol was recovered.  During the search of the area, the troops were fired upon again and in the retaliatory fire, 'sergeant' Tongbai and 'corporal' Mankhu Wangsa were neutralised, and one AK 47 rifle was recovered from them.
