Four ultras killed in Bordumsa

DIGBOI, Feb 16: Security forces gunned down four extremists of the United tiol Liberation Front of Western South East Asia (UNLFW), the umbrella organization of several rebel outfits of the region including the ULFA(I), in Bordumsa area of Tinsukia on Tuesday. Three of the four cadres were from the NSCN (K) whereas one was from the ULFA-I. The operations were led by SP Tinsukia. The extremists were sheltered at Wathoi village near Talpather when, following specific inputs, security forces cordoned the area. Sensing the presence of the securitymen, the extremists tried to shoot their way out. In the ensuing firefight, the four ultras were gunned down. Police later recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition and mobile phones from the possession of the slain extremists. The arms include one AK 81 rifle, two 9mm pistols and several rounds of live ammunition.
