Gauhati High Court on Compensation For The Land Acquisition

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on Monday asked the State Government to submit a report informing it about the status of the investigation into ‘massive financial irregularities’ while giving compensation for the land acquisition to carry out the four laning of national highways in Sivasagar district. A division bench comprising Chief Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar Medhi issued notices to the State Government after hearing a PIL that had sought a CBI inquiry into the matter.
