GUWAHATI, July 29: When the grief-stricken tion has been mourning after the demise of former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam, who is considered as an unofficial mentor of the tion, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was today caught on the wrong foot for swaying and dancing along with Adivasi girls attired in their traditiol dress at the staccato of zumur drumbeat. This is not all. The Chief Minister even played golf at Misa Polo Club in gaon district and snooker during the tour.

The reaction to the incident has been so sharp that many in the State say that the Chief Minister has put the entire State and the Northeast to shame. The incident occurred at Hatikhuli Tea Estate near Bokakhat where a function was organized today.

Apart from the seven-day tiol mourning on the demise of the former President of India, the State and the tion have been grief-stricken with the death of former Union minister and Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi’s one of the closest colleagues BK Handique. He died on July 26, a day before Kalam. The incident has stunned the people of Assam and the entire tion.

The officers accompanying the Chief Minister and the organizers of the function at the tea estate failed to remind the Chief Minister of the consequences of his merrymaking by taking part in a zumur dance programme of the Adivasis.
