Gogoi meets Sonia, CP Joshi in Delhi

Guwahati, April 7: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today met Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi and discussed among other things expansion of his ministry in which four berths are vacant. Gogoi also discussed the current political situation in the State and other organizatiol matters with Gandhi. Later, the Chief Minister also met AICC Assam in charge CP Joshi. Gogoi and Joshi are understood to have prepared a list of four new ministers which will be placed before Gandhi for approval. The legislators who are frontrunners to get a berth in Gogoi’s ministry are Deputy Speaker Bhimanda Tanti, Parliamentary Secretary Rekibuddin Ahmed, Durlav Chamua and Jamal Uddin or Siddique Ahmed.
