Gogoi places supplementary demands

Guwahati, Dec 7: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today presented the Supplementary Demands for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation of Rs 4904.84 crore for the year 2015-16. An amount of Rs 2725 lakh has been earmarked as expenditure for conducting the assembly elections next year. With an eye on the election, Gogoi has apparently laid thrust in publicity of government programmes, earmarking Rs 2810.69 lakh for its Mission Assam Vision Assam programmes which will be implemented by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations.
