GUWAHATI, Dec 11: Whenever the me of a big fish figures in any crime, including murder, the police in the State pretend as though they have bigger fish to fry. The police hush such crimes up, whatever brutal they are.

On the fifth and the last day of the Winter Session of the Assam Assembly today as many as six organizations of the Dimoria area rocked Dispur Last Gate, demanding Dispur of handing over the Jugdol murder case to the CBI and speeding up the investigation into the case. The police has been trying to hush the case up. We want Dispur to hand over the case to the CBI for inquiry into it, besides speeding up the investigation. If the Congress projects MLAs like Akon Bora as party candidates again, we’ll do all to stop the party from making it to Dispur. It’s a matter of shame that the culprits of the heinous crime at Jugdol have been moving scot-free.”
