Himanta rubbishes Gogoi's claim

In Guwahati, BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma rubbished Gogoi's allegations and said the Chief Minister is confusing the people of the State. "The NITI-Aayog sub-committee has in October restored the 90:10 funding pattern in core schemes and 80:20 in optiol schemes. Let the Chief Minister come clear as to which ministry is not releasing funds to the State," Sarma said, questioning how the CM is announcing one scheme after another if the State government had no money. Sarma said the State government still had an unspent amount of Rs 588 crore released by DoNER. "If the Chief Minister can spend the amount this month, we will get him an additiol Rs 1,000 crore from the ministry. There is also an unspent revenue deposit of Rs 1,200 crore," the BJP said.
