GUWAHATI, May 21: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) on Monday asserted that it will be able to declare error free results of the High School Leaving Certificate and Assam High Madrassa Examinations 2018 on Friday.

Nayan Jyoti Sarma, Controller of Examinations of SEBA told The Sentinel that all efforts have been initiated to declare error free results on May 25. He said the SEBA has redesigned the mark sheets and certificates this time in an attractive ways. Both mark sheets and certificates will be issued to students on the same day of the results declaration, he added.

“Mark sheets and certificates to be issued by the SEBA this year will be the most attractive documents issued so far in any exam in any part of the country,” Sarma claimed.

The results will be declared at 11 am on May 25 at the respective exams centres and schools across the State. Examinees can also see their results in the SEBA’s websites. The SEBA will be ahead of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in declaring the Class X final exams results this year. Last year the SEBA could declare the HSLC an AHM results on May 31.

Over 3.5 lakhs students have sat for the HSLM and AHM exams this year.

On other hand a delegation of All Assam Students’ Union on Monday met the SEBA chairman RC Jain and the board secretary Prabin Sarma and submitted a memorandum demanding an error free results. Education secretary of AASU Sarat Hazarika said under no circumstance the SEBA can give an excuse for errors in results. “The SEBA must prove its credibility by declaring error free results,” Hazarika said.
