Indian, Pakistani commanders agree on restraint on LoC

JAMMU, Sept 21: Local field commanders of the Indian and Pakistani armies on Monday decided to exercise restraint to respect the bilateral ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) that divides Jammu and Kashmir between them, an army official said. “A brigade-level flag meeting was held between the Indian and Pakistani army at Chakan Da Bagh crossing point on the LoC in Poonch district today (Monday). The field commanders discussed a host of issues including the ongoing ceasefire violations, targeting of civilian areas and sniper actions on the LoC,” Indian army’s northern command spokesman Colonel SD Goswami said.
