’Indrani had told Peter about plot to kill Shee’

CBI TELLS COURT

Mumbai, Jan 17: The CBI on Saturday told a Mumbai court that Indrani Mukerjea, prime accused in the Shee Bora murder case, had told her husband and former media baron Peter Mukerjea about her conspiracy to kill her daughter, media reports said. The CBI also opposed Peter Mukerjea’s bail plea, citing he is a British tiol and could flee if his bail was granted. In his bail application filed though his lawyer Kushal Mor, Peter Mukerjea had said that the CBI had found no evidence to justify his arrest, although it had had his custody for 11 days and even subjected him to psycho–alysis and polygraph tests. The bail application also said that Peter was in the UK from April 23 to 26, 2012, with Vidhie (Indrani’s daughter from marriage with Khan) and that mere phone calls between him and Indrani during this period do not suggest conspiracy. The series of developments came after the court on Thursday allowed the CBI to probe afresh Indrani and the two other accused in the jail in connection with the murder. Indrani, Sanjeev Khan and her driver Shyamvar Rai were arrested in August in connection with the murder of her 24–year old daughter Shee in April 2012. All four are in judicial custody right now.
