IT department's achievement

GUWAHATI, April 5: Income Tax sleuths raided the residence of a city-based businessman Binod Chhawchharia recently, situated at Danish Road in Panbazar area. Sources informed that cash worth Rs 3 crore was seized from Chhawchharia’s residence. Sources also alleged that during the raid Chhawchharia informed the IT department that he had Rs 110 crore worth of undisclosed income. It may be mentioned that Chhawchharia runs businesses of liquor, real estate, civil construction etc. The raid and seizure is therefore being considered a massive success for the IT department.
