JNU students will not accept punishment: Kanhaiya

New Delhi, April 26: Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar on Tuesday said that the students community will neither accept nor follow the punishment handed over to them by the varsity’s high level enquiry committee (HLEC). The HLEC, which was constituted on February 11 on Monday had fined Kanhaiya Kumar Rs.10,000 and rusticated three students for taking part in an event on February 9 to commemorate executed parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Kanhaiya also said that a march will be carried out from Ganga Dhaba to the administrative block in the varsity on Wednesday after which an indefinite hunger strike will be launched. (IANS)
