Kalaigaon BDO arrested

KALAIGAON, March 13: Rangalal Sinha, senior BDO of Kalaigaon Development Block, was on Friday evening arrested by police on charges of corruption. According to police, the Kalaigaon unit of AJYCP and AAKRSU had lodged complaints with the SDPO of Bhergaon Sub Division that the BDO had misappropriated a major fund of IAY. The SDPO Nirupam Hajarika investigated the matter and lodged an FIR at Kalaigaon police station. The BDO has been arrested under section 406/420-34 of the IPC.
