New Delhi, April 22: The Centre on Friday approved assistance of Rs.842.7 crore for drought-hit areas of Kartaka and flood-hit areas of Puducherry and Aruchal Pradesh, agriculture ministry officials said. Kartaka will get Rs.723.23 crore, Puducherry Rs.35.14 crore and Aruchal Pradesh Rs.84.33 crore. "The assistance of Rs.84.33 crore for Aruchal includes Rs.18 crore under the tiol Rural Drinking Water Programme," the official said.
