KLO deputy chief gunned down

Guwahati, March 4: The Indian Army in a joint operation with Assam Police neutralised the deputy commander of Kamatapur Liberation Organization in the wee hours of Friday at Shiljan in Kokrjahar district. Dibakar Barman alias Anupal alias Jabarjung, was allegedly behind the killing of Agriculture officer Gadapani Pathak, was trained in Myanmar, defence spokesman Lt Col Suneet Newton said. A foreign-made 7.65mm pistol, three rounds and some cash were recovered from the militants.
