Major Reshuffle In Assam Government Bureaucrats

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government shuffled its bureaucrats on Tuesday. While Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal has been transferred and posed as Secretary of Home & Political department in Dispur, Nagaon DC Biswajit Pegu has been posted as the DC of Kamrup (M). Dibrugarh DC Laya Maduri has been posted as Cachar DC. Jorhat DC Narayan Konwar has been transferred and posted as the Commissioner of Labour department. While Cachar DC Dr. S. Lakshmanan has been posted as Sivasagar DC, Dhemaji DC Roshni Aparanji has been posted as Jorhat DC, Hailakandi DC Adil Khan as DC of Bongaigaon, Hojai DC Manabendra Pratap Singh as the DC of Dhemaji and Sivasagar DC Pallab Gopal Jha as the DC of Dibrugarh. Staff Officer to Chief Secretary J. Keerthi has been transferred and posted as Hailakandi DC. Joint Secretary of Urban Development & GDD Pawar Narsing Sambhaji has been transferred and posted as the DC of Sonitpur. Additional Commissioner of Karimganj MP Ambamuthan has been transferred and posted as Staff Officer to Chief Secretary. DC of Darrang Ashok Kumar Barman will take over charge as Additional Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management. Many other officials in the rank of secretary and commissioner have also been transferred and entrusted with new responsibilities.
