Militants hurl grede on SSB men, bbed

Guwahati, July 18: Three NDFB(S) militants were caught by SSB personnel after they lobbed a grede at the security team at Sishubari inside Mas forest. Acting on an intelligence input, the SSB had laid ambushes inside the forest last evening. "The SSB team spotted three suspected militants. The militants were challenged, but they lobbed a grede at the personnel. The explosive, however, failed to explode," an SSB spokesman said, adding that the militants were caught by the personnel after a hot chase. The rebels have been identified as nda Mushahary (27, Gonos rzary (32) and Thijen Mushahary (22) - all residents of Amguri in Chirang district. One 9mm Italy-made pistol and eight rounds were seized from them.
