Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary asks Youths to Learn Japanese Language

GUWAHATI: Skill, Employment and Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary has asked the youths to learn the Japanese language so that they can get better job opportunities in Japanese companies and secure their future. “If you learn the Japanese language, you will be inspired to lead a disciplined life as the Japanese are known for. The Assam Government is also in talks with Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) to set up an industrial hub of 150 companies at Nagarbera,” added Patowary.

The Minister said this while attending the first ‘Japan Caravan’ organized by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, here on Sunday. The programme was held to showcase some of Japan’s best talents in origami, calligraphy, and preparation of Japanese tea, besides other cultural activities.

Addressing the programme, Minister Patowary also stated that the State may soon host a business summit with Japan in the line of the recenlty held Indo-Bangladesh Stakeholders’ Summit, stated a release.

Among those present on the occasion were Anand Prakash Tiwari, MD, Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM); Masahiro Kobayashi, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan, New Delhi and Kaoru Miyamoto, Director General, Japan Foundation.
