Ministers' astronomical phone bills

Guwahati, March 31: The government has paid Rs 35.81 lakh has telephone bills of ministers and parliamentary secretaries since 2011. The telephone bills at the secretariat offices of the ministers and parliamentary secretaries during the period were to the tune of Rs 14,60,198 while those at their residences were Rs 21,21,600. The bills for the telephone at the CM’s official residence was Rs 4,07,467 and that of his office was Rs 85,189. The landline and mobile bills of IAS officer posted in the State from 2011 till date were Rs 20,29,432.
