Miscreants shoot dead lady SBI official

GUWAHATI, Oct 9: In a sensational incident, unidentified miscreants shot dead a lady official of Dadara branch of State Bank of India at Agiyathuri in Kamrup district on Tuesday evening. The deceased identified as Junu Sarma, an officer at Dadara branch of SBI was on her way to Guwahati when two motorcycle-borne youths fired on her from a close range at Agiyathuri. Even though the official was taken to the nearby Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, she was declared dead at the hospital. The official was travelling in her Eon car (AS-O1-AG-6869). The driver has been picked up by the police for interrogation.
