Modalities for marine studies institute

Guwahati, February 12: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today chaired a high level meeting to discuss the modalities on setting up of the proposed Institute of Marine Studies in Assam, to reap the harvest of rich maritime industry in the country and abroad. The meeting decided to set up a two-member panel to study the methodology of setting up of the proposed institute. The meeting viewed the rich inherent possibilities of the maritime industry and expressed hope that the proposed institute will be able to generate employment avenues.
