Modi is a first class MA from Gujarat University

Ahmedabad, May 1: Prime Minister rendra Modi passed his Masters of Arts degree in political science from Gujarat University with flying colours, according to a report in Ahmedabad Mirror. Even though the PM's educatiol qualifications have been a subject of much scrutiny, with Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal even filing a Right to Information (RTI) request for the exact details, the newspaper reported to have uncovered the facts behind Modi's academic performance.

In fact, Gujarat University Vice-Chancellor M N Patel told the Mirror that Modi scored 237 marks out of 400 in his first year exams and 262 out of 400 in the second year, passing with a 'first class'. "The second year marks listed in the records mention that PM scored 64 (out of 100 marks) in political science, 62 in European and Social Political Thoughts, 69 in Modern India/ Political Alysis and 67 marks in Concept tool/s - Political Psychological and Social," he said.

Last Friday, the Central Information Commission (CIC) had directed the Delhi and Gujarat universities to provide information on Modi's educatiol qualifications following criticism from Kejriwal.

According to the report, records at Gujarat University list Modi as an "exterl student", scoring 62.3 percent marks in 1983. He also completed his "pre-science" (a one-year equivalent of class 12) from M N Science College in Visgar. Information on Modi's graduation from DU is as yet not available.
