Mukesh Sahay set to be next Assam police chief

Guwahati, Nov 6: 1984 batch IPS officer Mukesh Sahay is set to be the next police chief of the State after incumbent Khagen Sarma retires on November 30 next. Official sources said Sahay's me has been cleared by the State Security Commission headed by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi yesterday and an official notification is likely soon. Sahay, the senior-most officer after incumbent Sarma, is currently posted as DG (Home Guards) with additiol charge of CID.
