NDRF, Railways conduct mock drill

GUWAHATI, June 1: At the direction of tiol Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Director General OP Singh, a joint mock exercise on rail accidents and response was conducted today by Indian Railways in coordition with NDRF at New Guwahati  Rail Yard. The mock drill was executed after meticulous planning of the 1st tiol Disaster Response Force in coordition with Lumding Division (covering area from Dibrugarh to Katihar) of Indian Railways. In view of past rail accidents  in north east region like on July 10, 2011 at Bhatkuchi near Rangia Railway station, on February 3, 2012 between railway station Azara and Mirza and on April 16, 2014 between railway station Jagiroad and Aujuri in Morigaon Assam, a press release said.
