Nearly 3 lakh bogus ration cards

Guwahati, March 12: There are 2,89,234 bogus ration cards in the State, Food and Civil Supplies minister Dr zrul Islam said today. He said an inquiry is on to find out the officials who issued those cards. “Those found guilty will be punished,” he said. At present, there are 38,11,882 APL, 12,02,000 BPL and 7,03,729 AAY card holders in the State.
