No Shelter To Hindu Bangladeshis In BTAD: Pramila Rani Brahma

GUWAHATI: State Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma has made it clear that the BTC is not going to give shelter to any Hindu Bangladeshis in the BTAD. Talking to the media in Guwahati on Wednesday, the BPF minister said: “The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 is not going to affect the BTAD. Nobody can impose the burden of Hindu Bangladeshis on us. If anybody makes such an attempt, we’ll stand against the Bill.” On the AGP severing its ties with the ruling coalition in the State, Pramila Rani Brahma said: “I respect the AGP’s decision. The party was born after the Assam Agitation for the interests of the people of the State. They can’t shrug off their responsibility towards the interests of the indigenous people of the State. They’ve taken the right decision.”
