OIL CMD row: Gogoi bats for Rupsikha

GUWASHATI, June 30: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has sought Prime Minister rendra Modi’s intervention to clear the last minute hitch for Rupshikha Borah’s appointment as the CMD of Oil India Limited (OIL). In a statement, Gogoi said when the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended Rupshikha Borah’s me for the top post of OIL, the last minute glitch is tantamount to denial of justice. He further said it would be an injustice to the women fraternity in particular and Assam as a whole if Rupshikha Borah is filly denied the unique feat to be the first woman to hold the CMD’s post in the oil and gas exploration industry.
