Only BTAD development can cement our partnership, says Hagrama

GUWAHATI, February 15: Around 50 per cent of the Bodos in the state cannot speak Bodo. This is a statement from none other than BTC Chief  Executive Member (CEM) Hagrama Mohilary.

Taking part as the chief guest in the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) conference in the city today, Mohilary said the BPF is up for a symbiotic relationship with any party that can work for the development of the BTAD. “For us, the Congress or the BJP isn’t the matter. What we matter is the development of the BTAD. Any party that will work for the development of the Bodo politico-administrative structure can be our meaningful partner at Dispur. We want only development, and it’s the development of the BTAD that can cement our partnership with any party,” he said.

Meanwhile, BJP’s Guwahati MP Bijoya Chakraborty, who was also present at the BSS conference cracked a joke: “Be with us as we're going to work for BTAD development.”
