Over 17,000 hoardings, banners removed

Guwahati, March 12: In view of the ensuing Assembly Election in the State, the administrations in several districts have taken a stern action against uuthorized banners, posters and hoardings put up by political parties and defacement of public and private properties where official permission have not been taken. The administration has so far ensured the removal and defacement of political advertisements in almost all districts going to polls, an official statement said. So far, the Election department has received reports about removal of5986 hoardings, 5333 posters, 4742 banners, 1432 party flags and 706 defacement of public and private properties.
