'Ploy for creation of Islamic state'

By Our Staff Reporter
Guwahati, Aug 27: The abnormal rise in Muslim population in Assam had laid bare the ploy to create an Islamic state engulfing some parts India, including Assam, the Hindu Yuba Chatra Parishad said today, appealing the intellectual community in the State to wake up to the threat. Parishad's president Bolen Baishya said it was unfortute that the people of the State have failed to "realize the ploy and its consequences". "Unless the government initiates schemes like compulsory birth control measures among Muslims, the day is not far that Assam would transform into another Pakistan, Bangladesh or Kashmir," he said.
