Powerful bomb defused in Gauripur

DHUBRI/GAURIPUR, June 30: After recovery of a powerful IED from a vehicle bound for Dhubri from Kokrajhar a few days back, police on Tuesday recovered another powerful IED weighing 3 kg from Gauripur railway station in Dhubri. Based on the interrogation of 3 arrested terrorists sleuths carried out a search operation in the railway station with the help of RPF and recovered the IED which was fixed with a timer, from a bag at around 2pm on Tuesday. Later, the bomb squad defused the bomb safely. It is being suspected that the Dhubri-Siliguri Express Train was the target of the terrorists.
