Proposals cleared

Guwahati, Sept 20: The High Powered Committee (HPC) for Mega Projects, chaired by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, cleared the proposal of M/s Ajanta Pharma Ltd. for setting up a pharmaceuticals (allopathic medicine) manufacturing unit at village Kokjhar, Chaygaon, Palasbari in Kamrup district with an investment of Rs.177.67 crore. The firm is expected to generate 800 numbers of job opportunities. The meeting cleared the proposal of M/s Ecotech Papers for a kraft paper manufacturing unit at Kamalpur in Kamrup district with an investment of Rs.140.19 crore and a direct employment generation of 147 persons.
