Rat race in State BJP to be in Shah's good book

GUWAHATI, July 11: Assam BJP leaders have been in a rat race - everybody seems to be busy so as to push his/her own agenda before party president Amit Shah to be in his  good book. Shah is slated for addressing the party meeting in Guwahati on July 14. Those who have been given important responsibilities, on the other hand, are on their toes.

BJP ticket seekers and others, according to party sources, have been seeking the help of party MPs and others who have good acquaintance with Shan so as to push their own agenda, be them party tickets or otherwise.  

The party has formed a number of committees so as to make the July 14 meet a grand success. While Mrigangko Barman has been given the charge of the accommodation committee, Hitendra Goswami has been made the in-charge of the decoration committee that has the onus to decorate entire Guwahati, Meera Barthakur Goswami is leading the protocol committee, ndan Talukdar has been made the in-charge of the transportation committee, Bhabesh Kalita is the in-charge of administration, ren Das is the in-charge of security, Ranjit Rohang is the in-charge of parking of vehicles and Dr. Sribotsha Gopal Goswami is the in-charge of the medical cell.

Along with Shah, other tiol leaders of the party like all general secretaries, secretaries, party observers and in-charges in the northeastern States, including Assam observer Dr. Mahendra Singh and in-charge Dharmendra Singh, will attend the meeting.

The leadership of the party has requested all leaders and workers of the party to maintain discipline at all cost.
