Sentinel Journalist Bhaben Ghimire Gets Award For 'Best Reporting of Assembly Proceedings'

GUWAHATI: The award for ‘Best Reporting of Assembly Proceedings, 2018-19’ went to senior journalist Bhaben Ghimire of The Sentinel. The senior journalist received the award for his report ‘Are ministers & MLAs losing interests in Assembly?’ published on the February 22, 2019 issue of The Sentinel.

Bhaben Ghimire received the award – comprising a citation and a cheque – from Assam Assembly Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami at the 82nd foundation anniversary function of the Assembly at its auditorium at Dispur on Sunday. Present on the auspicious occasion were former Bihar Governor Devanand Konwar, former Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, former Minister Thaneswar Bora, former MLA Mridula Saharia, Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) Principal Secretary MK Deka and ALA Additional Secretary AN Deka, besides many other MLAs, former ministers and former MLAs.
