Songbijit claims G Bidai is safe

KOKRAJHAR, February 26: IK Songbijit, chairman of NDFB (S), said that his commander G. Bidai was neither arrested nor killed by security forces, as claimed by them. In a clarification to a section of media, Songbijit said that G. Bidai, the C- in- C of Bodoland Army was safe and not arrested by Indian Army as reported in some news channels.

Songbijit said they would continue the armed struggle until and unless the Government of India acknowledged the freedom and political rights of Bodo people.

Bidai, who carries an award of Rs 10 lakh on his head, is one of the most wanted militant.
