Sonowal, Bhattacharjee hurt in stage collapse

Dibrugarh, July 6: Union minister Sarbanda Sonowal, State BJP president Sidhartha Bhattacharjee and party's Assam Prahabari Mahendra Singh sustained minor injuries when stage built for Yuba Sanmillan suddenly collapsed today at Chaolkhowa playground. The incident occurred when more than a hundred fifty over-enthusiastic party supporters and workers thronged the stage to greet Sonowal and others at the end of the meeting. The capacity of the stage was 25, the organizers said.
