Sonowal gets rousing welcome at tive village

Dibrugarh, May 29: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal today visited his tive village Muluk Gaon at Chabua in Dibrugarh. Sonowal was given a rousing welcome by thousands, including members of various local organizations, who gathered to have a glimpse of the new CM.   A cultural procession comprising dancers from ethnic communities danced in gay abandon with the beats of Bihu and Jhumur reverberating in the air. The Chief Minister was felicitated by a number of organisations and individuals with gamocha, bouquet of flowers, xarai and japi. On his arrival at his residence, the Chief Minister was received heartily by his family members. Sonowal sought their blessings and exchanged pleasantries with them. He later visited the memorials of his father and mother to pay respects to them and to seek their blessings. Sonowal thanked the people for reposing trust on his leadership and sought their blessings and cooperation in taking the State along the high road to glory and prosperity.
