NEW DELHI: In a significant development, the Supreme Court on Tuesday said that case related to the D voters could be heard at the respective Foreigner Tribunals (FTs) in Assam. Admitting a petition, a two-member bench of Justices RF Nariman and Navin Sinha said, “The D voter cases can be heard in the designated Foreigners Tribunals in Assam.” The petition was filed by a resident of Karimganj, Moinul Haq, who was branded as a ‘D voter’ by the authorities concerned
