Supreme Court To Hear Pleas Against EWS Quota

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will hear on May 2 a batch of applications seeking to put on hold the appointments being made under 10 percent quota for the economically weaker section (EWS) of society in the unreserved category. The petitions contended that 10 percent quota for EWS was in breach of the 50 percent ceiling declared by the top court by its earlier constitution bench judgments. (IANS)
