GUWAHATI, March 14: A railway officer's wife has tested positive for swine flu, but doctors said she was recuperating. She is the eleventh persons in the State to have been infected by H1N1 virus. The woman had returned from a trip to Rajasthan and Delhi on March 1 after which she fell sick. Doctors at the Maligaon Railway Hospital had referred her to the GMCH on March 2. "However, the GMCH doctors felt there was no need for swine flu tests. Doctors at the Railway Hospital then sent her swab samples to a testing centre at Mumbai. The report which came on March 6 stated that the samples were positive for H1N1," a doctor at the railway hospital said. The patient was kept in isolation ward from March 7 to March 10 and given treatment. She was discharged today and doctors said she was responding to treatment well.
