GUWAHATI, January 23: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday said that people of the State expect more from the new ministry and I hope that all the new ministers would discharge their duties efficiently.
Talking to reporters after the swearing–in programme, Gogoi said, “If we don’t give chance to the new people, we will not be able to understand their capability. But I believe that the newly inducted ministers will be able to discharge their responsibilities efficiently. The new ministry will work for the people.”
Gogoi said that the dropped ministers, who are senior and experienced, would guide the newly inducted ministers.
When asked about dissident activities in the party with regard to the reshuffle exercise, Gogoi said, “There is no dissidence but difference of opinion in the party. Our party is a mass–based party and not a cadre–based party. So, difference of opinion is tural in our party.”
