Toppers bring laurels to Gauhati Commerce College

Guwahati, June 2: Euphoria gripped Gauhati Commerce College on Thursday morning after eight of its students bagged positions in the HS examitions, the results of which were declared today.

Commerce stream topper Rajneesh Bharadwaj secured 474 marks out of 500.

Besides Rajneesh, seven others from the college – Swati Jain (2nd rank), Supreeti Modi (3rd rank), Deepjyoti Panth Sarma (4th rank), Deepamoni Patar (7th rank), Nishant Agarwal (10th), Juhi Jain (10th) and Shilpa Garodia (10th) – also secured ranks in the Commerce stream, bringing laurels to the premier educatiol institution.

Topper Rajneesh wants to become a CA and also compete in the civil services.

Rajneesh, born to Akan Bharadwaj and Junu Devi of Sewali Path in Hatigaon, also secured the highest marks in Alterative English (98).

“I did not expect that I will top, but I had a hunch that I might get a position among the top ten,” he said, attributing his success to his parents and dedication of his college teachers.

“If students are sincere and willing to learn, the teachers are available to guide them 24 hours a day,” he says of his college faculty.

Ranjneesh also wants modifications in the State’s education system so that students can compete at the tiol level. He also wishes the new government in State is corruption-free.

Two of the rank holders in Commerce stream are from KC Das Commerce College in Guwahati.
