Turning 82, CM announces advance salaries for puja

Guwahati, Oct 11: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who celebrated his 82nd birthday today, announced that government employees will be given ten days basic pay in advance in view of the ensuing puja festivities. To a query on a possible Congress-AIUDF alliance, Gogoi said except for the BJP, no other party is "untouchable" for the Congress. "We can work with all other parties. But whatever we will do, we will do openly," he said.
