Two cops suspended

GUWAHATI, July 8: Two police personnel were today placed under suspension after an inquiry committee which probed the mysterious suicide of a woman at Dispur police station found lapses on their part. ABSI (W) Pritilekha Talukdar and ABSI Sanjib Kumar Chetri were suspended following the inquiry conducted by Joint Commissioner NMASF Haque. The inquiry report also said the death of the woman from Shillong was due to ‘asphyxia’ as a result of anti-mortem hanging according to the post mortem report.
