UPLF chief killed

Guwahati, March 9: The self-styled chairman of the United People’s Liberation Force’s (UPLF) Dhanjay Dalogopu was today killed in an encounter with police at Borlangpha in Karbi Anglong district. A pistol with an empty magazine and three rounds of ammunition were recovered from him. Dhanjay alias Ratan alias Kala was a former insurgent of the Dima Hasao Daogah (DHD) that had laid down arms in 2003.
