'We're here to expose other parties'

GUWAHATI, March 22: State BJP president Siddhartha Bhattacharyya today said that unlike other parties the BJP does not want to keep  problems alive.

Speaking at the executive committee meeting of the city district committee of the BJP at Panjabari here, Bhattacharyya said: “Other parties in Assam have the habit of keeping problems alive for their political gains. They do politics with problems. The wreath of the people of the state that they are facing now is the result of such politics.”

Bhattacharyya appealed to party workers not to engage themselves in any false campaign like others parties in the 2016 Assembly elections. “We need to go to the people strongly with a bold face. We have our own ideology of not doing politics for the sake of politics. We are here to expose other parties and their leaders’ activities.”

Speaking on the occasion, Bijoya Chakraborty said: “The people of the state are fed up with the corruption by the Congress government. There’s nothing concrete for the Congress to show on development front. People will certainly dump the party in the 2016 Assembly elections.”

Party MP Ramen Deka, Nehru Yuva Kendra’s tiol vice president Dilip Saikia, Santanu Bharali, organizing secretary Phanindra th Sarma and others were also present at the meeting that was presided over by Mukuta Deka.
