Xabha’s contributions praised

GAON, February 2: Praising the immense contribution of the Axom Xahitya Xabha (AXX) in the development of literature and culture of the State, AXX president Imran Shah said, “Our Xahitya Xabha is eterlly great.”  Shah hoisted the Xabha flag on Monday at the Pandit Aatma Ram Khetra on the third day of the Xabha’s 73rd biennial session. He also appealed to the people of Assam to empower the languages and cultures of the tribes along with the Assamese language and culture. Various cultural programmes were held on the occasion, which were graced by eminent writers like Bandita Phukan, Madhumita Saikia, Dr Jaishree Goswami Mahanta, retired justice Mukunda Kam Sarma.
